It's in NJ, but current owner says it's from OHIO. Anybody know or seen this car up close? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270475550939&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Cool Wagon! I just have one question, how do you take care of the woodgrain?? Is it waxed like the rest of the car?
Believe it or not, I actually like the wood grain. Looks "deluxe". From the pictures it's been Ze'ed (rust proofed) at some point. Sure would like to see the underside. If no rust (as he states), it would've had to remain parked during the winter in Ohio.
What do you think this car is worth? I know the appoximate reserve and I would be surprised if he got it, but this is ebay  This car sold on ebay about 6-8 months ago from an estate auction in Ohio, I cannot remember what it sold for then. I too would like to see the underside and frame, the engine bay shows surface rust on the firewall near the master cylinder and hood springs along with the underside of the hood. The rest of the car looks clean... A lipstick resto?
looks like the twin to mine, wood and all ... and mine may be "Biggers" powered after a year or 2 :Brow:
All ready installed ... should be able to take some nice pics this weekend :beers2: Mike ... buy this one and we can have twins !!
If its the one at Lake Buckhorn in Ohio I looked at it and it is a very nice car. I was close to buying it but didn't and now Im sorry I didn't John
Alan, it’s going on 5yrs since you bought that engine. Where has the time gone? :eek2: Probably should have pursued this wagon (twin to yours), they’re very rare in complete original condition. If it had been located nearby, I would have been on it hard but we just have too many things going right now to seriously chase another car.
.... your clock must run faster than mine as I count only 3 years o No: I had to give up the project '69 Stage1 4 speed the motor was originally slated for to get this wagon. Some may call me crazy but 2 things made the decision for me - 1) no "car" money for the next 3-5 years as the house needs some more major renovations, and, 2) My Sporty was an all original 29,000 mile 1 owner survivor that hasn't seen light of day since '83. Im thinking that after playing for a year or two with it stock, that motor should fill the front fenderwells pretty nicely. Whatcha think ?
Well my clock was a bit fast:TU: Turns out you purchased the motor October of 2005. So we both were wrong! Must be getting "oldtimers". That wagon of your's is really sweet, I know your looking forward to getting back to it. Does it have AC?
Yes ... A/C (not hooked up, needs clutch), PB, PS, P/tailgate, am/fm (doesn't work though ) speed alert/clock, no second row seat (YEAY !!) and most importantly 400/400. Motor purrs like a kitten but needs a "Wizards Tune". Just put the 15" rallye's on ... needs an exhaust and the rear tranny seal is pissing a bit
Mike, now it's NY. Paul my bodyman picked it up, Monday John, you are correct, has all the documentation Needs very little, just a few parts aligned, a wired brush BADA BING you are done
