Nice 76 Century Pace car article in Hemmings

As under-powered as it may have been, I still think that's a good looking car.

 

I've always love all those pace cars, Wow that one is super nice!

 

The Buick "A" bodies of that period were so much better looking than the Cutlasses that sold so well

 

Real sharp, unique,special car.

 

Alan is a great guy and a friend! His car is beautiful and a perfect example of the 76 Pace Car. Mine is not nearly so nice but still original and has a red bench seat interior. It's amazing how different you could get them back in 76!

 

Came across this old post and noticed the pace car sponsored by Firestone is wearing Goodyears! OOPS

 

Those years ('73-'77) were sharp looking Buicks.
The only drawback is the MASSIVE/HEAVY doors took their toll on the hinge bushings, no biggie tho, I'd still like one

 

I was at the '76 Indy race and remember seeing those cool looking cars. The real pace car sounded pretty gnarly as I recall. The race itself sucked; rain, rain, then more rain.
