I contacted Jamie (65specialconver) about a problem I was having with my charging system. I have a big Spal dual electric fan and kept killing batteries. I upgraded to a newer style 108 amp alternator a couple of years ago, but the problem persisted. Rather than trying to sell me a 140 amp alternator, which I don't need Jamie took a look at what I had and upgraded the regulator to increase the output at low rpms. For 30 bucks as opposed to 160 plus I think we've figured out the problem. My local alternator guy was completely baffled by this minor issue. Jamie had excellent communication, reasonable prices, and fast turnaround what more can you ask for:TU:

Speaking of which - I bought a mini starter from Jamie for my '68 400. Great item - highly recommended - the part that is. The guy is questionable!!!

    Just kidding.

It went on easier than I expected and it sure works great. Jamie - thanks a bunch.

I just want to add one more note in favor of Jamie - I put on my new 12Si alternator and the car's voltage has never been better! I've been trying to fight voltage problems for years (including 4 previous alternators) but this one finally makes the car run right.

(For those of you with Fuel Injection, voltage is extra important so you don't get any unnecessary "low voltage correction")

Sounds exactly like what I need too, Bob.
I'm not killing alternators, but I need more amps at idle with e'thing running.
Eventuallly, the system starts tapping off the battery, and it's downhill from there.

    Jamie,
    Please get in touch. :TU:
