Hi there fellow Buick owners, I will keep this fairly brief. I'm a 43 year old guy who lives in Lincolnshire, England. I own a 73 Electra 225. I've had the car since 95, and it has seen better times, it came to the U.K in 83, 7 owners later and he's mine. I'm in the process of restoring/mildly customizing the beast. I'm doing as much of the work myself, being an ex mechanic (is there such a thing) I'm learning new stuff all the time. The body panels were in a terrible state, more rust than original material, no kidding ! So the work is hard and slow. I'm keen to 'chat' with any one who owns or has owned one of these tanks. The american car scene in the U.K is pretty cool, just want to get it finished and get out there to enjoy and meet up with fellow petrol heads !It should be done in the early part of 04. Please be patient if you write to me, I'm spending almost all of my spare time in the garage, long days at work, then off I go, attacking the Buick, now where's that coffee pot ? Hello Dave, Good to hear something from ol' Blighty mate! When that Electra is finished before June 18, you might take it across the ditch to the continent, to join in at the 4th Buick Meeting here in the Netherlands. Just to experience the fun of driving that big boat on the righthandside of the road....p If you're in need of spares, just let me know. I know a few blokes overhere who have parted out Electra's, and I travel a lot up to the Thamesvalley and Oxfordshire. Good luck on that project :TU:

pre resto pics. Hi Rivman, thanx for the welcome note. I'll come clean, I'm a real dunce when it comes to these computer things. Mine is still an old'un, you know, steam powered ! I don't (yet) have the facility to use/send digital images, but we're workin' on it. I could describe the state the car was in but that would take up too much space and valuable time, for you and me.
