Greetings R (what is your name?)

We need to get you a 455 out of a junk yard (and there are many here) so you can shock your friends. Lets see 616lb to England that should not be more than $10,ooo.00 US in freight.

A big hello from Kansas City, and welcome to the board!

There's a lot of websites out there with interesting uses for the Buick/Rover V8. One of my favorite uses for that light motor is to throw one into an MGB or C. It doesn't add that much weight to the nose, but it can make a lot more power. I gather the swap is pretty easy. Since the MG was made by Rover at that time, I've read that you don't even have to fabricate motor mounts.

    I tell you what, I've got two 455's in my garage, I'll swap you even-up for a pre-1973 rust-free Mini. I'll even take a reshell. :)

Something tells me that it would be cheaper to ship a Mini here than it would be to ship 2 motors over there, though. :Do No:

This MGB is what I am basing the Twin Turbo on... I want a 5L+ but will stick with 3.5L until I blow it up

Err with the British climite its very rare here now:(
    How about This?

looks weird and not quite right, but goes like hell! (Loads of Wheel spin though!)

Maybe, depends if you know someone in one of the US airbases over here :Brow: (I dont:( ) who could stick it in the cargo bay on the way over!!

I have a mate who lives not far from the base in Norfolk, UK and the scrap yards around there have a lot of US cars... A visit is in order me thinks :) :)

    Thanks for the Welcome

Thanks for the links. That Twin Turbo beast will be a sight to see.

Never saw that V8 Mini before either. I have seen a couple of strange Mini swaps, but not that one. I have an itching to put a Honda VTEC motor in a Mini myself.
