Steve, Welcome to the site and yea..............there are a few there in Austin. Wish you woulda found the site earlier, you coulda(if you didn't) made it to the Brand X bash that your locals just had at litte river. Watch the board here, I know there is a good group of folks there........Chris Lott, Phil Green, etc. They post up, you'll see them. Have fun and welcome aboard............ later............................
Yeah, actually I was at Little River, I just happened to be there, and I didn't even know there was going to be a buick meet. I have met Phil Green before, very nice guy, but I lost contact with him, until this meet. I met a few of the other guys out there, but I am bad w/ remembering names. I am hoping to have 455 power soon, but probably won't be until sometime next spring for monetary reasons. Thanks for the warm welcome, looking forward to meeting all of you. Steve
Welcome to the board Steve! It's about time you showed up! I think you need to post some pictures of you car, everyone will appreciate how clean yours is. If you need help with resizing or instructions on how to post, let me know. Otherwise it's good to have you here.:TU: PS- I was at the Brand X Bash, I was driving with Phil the day we flagged you down on Mopac in the Excursion if that helps put a face to my name.
Welcome steve glad to see you found us. This is a great site full of buick 455 and buick 350 info (hint) Glad to see you here:TU:
Chris, now I know you, and yeah, I don't know how to post pics. I'll have to send you a PM about that. Was there a thread for ET's/winners from the Brand X Bash? I was curious on who the fastest buick was. I know I saw some 10sec GN's out there. I red lighted in the first round of the Street Meet racing that 18 second station wagon. ou:
we are going to do another big get together in about april. about the same size as what you saw at little river. You are welcome to come. If you would like to see some pictures of the event click on this url. email me your contact info that way i can add you to my database of the Austin folks. So I can contact you for future events. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20370
Email sent TXGS, will be there for the next event. This might be a silly question but what is the "BPG" in everyone's sig? Steve
The BPG is THE Buick Performance Group- It is a national club for all things buick. the club was started on a premise to keep our cars on the road and on the track through reproduction of hard to find parts and to enjoy the comaradere of our buicks. The event you saw at temple was a part of the BPG. It is an excellent club and they have a great newsletter called the buildsheet. It is a color newsletter about 20+ pages in lengh and is mailed bimonthly. If you want to know more contact me I will show you a copy of the buildsheet to see what it is all about.
