Love the car! :TU: However, am I seeing things in the engine compartment? 7.0L!? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I beleive that would be the legendary 427CID! Now THAT would be awsome! :3gears: :3gears:
Actually, that's BIG A$$... Don't get me wrong, that's one sweeeeet car, but the 'Vette rear end still looks like its butt got kicked up between its shoulderblades... :Smarty:
Yes, but - "Where's the Chrome?" :bglasses: I want one, by the way...just don't want to have to pay for it, and don't want to go to jail. Any ideas?
Well, I think I have some folks I have to call and remind them of some things, like making sure their car lover friends get to have one of these in their schedule for company cars! Maybe, or a transfer to Bowling Green Assembly, so I can drive one all the time! NOT, my mom misses me enough being 463 miles away for 25 years, to add a couple more hundred miles, would not be fun for her, but she would be all for it for me! But getting from BG to Owego, NY would not be fun for either of us, so I'll stay in Michigan and be the great GM employee I am, helping all of the GM Plants, get mean and lean and especially CLEAN!
Compare the 06 Vette with the Viper in the pic alongside the previous Vette design. Like I've said before GM is a step behind the other marques in styling. Looks like a copy to me. Lights, small hood scoop, grille etc.... ou:
Well, the legendary 427 and this engine only share the same displacement. The new LS7 is a small block. This was an idea for the old Chevy 400 to be bored/stroked to make a small block 427.
Looks like a sweet car. The only thing is the color of the car is not black ou: Now to win the Lotto :3gears:
Looking at those specs, I do believe that those are for the racecar in the back ground. Maybe I'm wrong, but I really doubt that a production car will have a dry sump oiling system. I can believe everything else, 500 HP, etc. Cool! But, dry sump? Nope. And, a production Corvette at 2900#? I'm skeptical. If it IS true, though, I'm very impressed!!!! Now let's see. I just bought a GMC Yukon XL with the 5.3L. Same engine family, same bolt-up patterns. I wonder what a Yukon would do with a 500HP, 7.0L???? :Brow: :3gears:  BTW, GM quality has come a long way since the '80's. My Yukon is a VERY well built vehicle, and it's easy to work on. I'm happy. Have fun.
Love to say it Jeff, but you're wrong. Dry sump oiling, forged crank, titanium :eek2: connecting rods, 11.0:1 compression ratio and producing at least 500 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque! Weight is 3130 lbs according to AutoWeek December 13, 2004 edition. Top speed is listed at 200 mph and 3.5 sec 0-60 times. Dry sump is part of the Z06 package. Cool. I want one. :3gears:
