    Hello everyone!

I'm new to this board, saw a link on an Olds board and thought I would check out this one. Looks like a good place for me. I'm currently building my second Buick/Oldsmobile car.

This is the car just before it hit the garage for the engine swap and cosmetic work.

    Great looking limited

    Hi Chris
Great looking Regal Limited is that the dark metallic blue color?

Does the car have the 307 Olds engine or the 3.8 V6

On our daily driven 86 Regal Limited we replaced the 307 with a 403 with 350 - 7a heads for a little kick. Drop in replacement with a Edelbrock intake manifold to save on weight and have enough places to screw in all the sensors, plus older cast iron exhaust manifolds

    Makes for an interesting combination

I wish it had came with a 307, but up in Canada we got 90% of our G-Body cars with the super crappy 305 Ch*vy. But with a little trip to the parts counter it's gets fixed in a hurry. With a fresh set of 307 mounts a 455 Olds drops in nice and easy. My friend bought the car off an older couple and it's in great shape. When the 305 died, it just sat around because he went and bought a silver '86 Regal. So I scooped it up and have started the engine swap and engine bay clean up. And yes it is the dark blue metallic color, it will be getting a paint job soon and it will be the same color, but with some blue pearl added.
