    Hello,

I'm new to the board. I'm from waaaay over yonder, from the Turbo Buick boards. I've popped in here every now and then to stay in touch with the Buick scene in general. I'm a diehard turbo Regal man, but I love Buick muscle all together. I'm itching for a big block GS in the future now. After seeing a lot of sweet big blocks at the Nationals in BG the past couple years. Just registered to get a glimpse of the pictures in the Members Rides section. ;)

Did you see the video on this Board of Bill Anderson's GN making a 7.25/188 pass?

    Matt,
You know if you want to go for a ride in one you can always stop by and we can take the Skylark out. I'm always looking for an excuse to take the car out now that it's back together. Did your friend put in that tach bracket I made for his Regal? Welcome to the board.

    Ken

    Hey Ken,

I figured you would be in this forum somewhere! I'd love to go for a spin. I have to make it a point to stop by. You dont live too far from my aunt. She lives on the same road. Was good seeing you at Cecil last weekend. Sorry I didnt catch back up to you later on. I ended up making some passes when they started time runs again; practically hot lapping the car a few times. Then we hung out at our pit for a while.

I was flustered because I went 12.98 in overdrive, after forgetting to put the selector into 3rd gear. It shifted and bogged down about 200 ft before the traps, and knocked my mph down about 2 mph, but still cracked 12's. I went back to do it again, and do it right, but spun off the line. After that, they closed the lanes on me. :af: I think I might have had a 12.8 in it that day, but oh well.

My friend Scott is still in the process of obtaining a tach, so when he does I'll show him how its installed. Thanks again for making another. I've had quite a few people notice my bracket and like it a lot, but whats so nice about it is that you dont even see it, so a lot of people dont notice it. Otherwise I would make some sales for ya.

flynbuick: You bet! I was there when Billy made that run! (Buick day last Saturday). We will actually be at his shop tomorrow (the 17th) for our club meeting. We will be doing some various product and part testing on a few volunteer cars on the DynoJet.

    Hey Matt

Where are you in Newark? I live just off Rt. 4, by Vince's SportsCenter. :Do No:

I'm actually just outside of Newark really. Basically in Glasgow, off Rt 40 just before the Maryland line. The big neighborhood at Rt 40 and Frazer Road (where the new school is) is my development.

You near the ShopRite on Rt 4? Is your car the red Skylark with like torq-thrusts on it? If so, I think I've passed you a couple times on 896 by Friendly's.

I am in Breezewood I, up the road from the Shop Rite. Are you in Frenchtown Woods? My sister-in-law and her family live there on Montceau. In fact, my nephew has a 72 Skylark in his garage that he has been working on for a few seasons now.

My car is actually metallic orange with forged Cragars...it is a convertible with 455. It looks red in some light and the rims do resemble torq-thrust II's. I am easily recognized though because I think I am about the only person in the area running a stage II hoodscoop on the street (except for Kenny's blue car)

Yes, that would be Frenchtown Woods. :) And I live on the same street; Montceau.

And is your nephews name Tim? He also has a Dodge truck for sale now, and just got ahold of a silver fox 5.0 convertable? I know him. Talk to him every now and then when he strolls by. Works at Henry Bro's body shop in Stanton.

Damn, its a small world around here. Wanna know something else that proves that fact? I met Kenny through my father, who knows his father. Well later down the road, I find out my [now ex-] girlfriend's mother worked with Kenny's wife, and supposedly have met before. It's almost too small of a world!

And yeah, that looks like the car I've seen. My description was close enough, especially since its been a while since I've seen you cruising around, but that looks like the car. Looks sweet!

    Yup..

Tim is my nephew...and a good kid.

The car hasn't been around for a while as I am rebuilding the motor now. It'll be back together by spring.

    It is a small world!
