Typically an F-Car box will bolt in and give you much quicker steering. I went with a rebuilt box from ebay. Cost me about $190.

    f-body box

using the f-body (70-81 camaro,firebird,75-79 nova ) steering box will quicken the steering and give ya a better feel ,but will shorten the turning radius . be sure of course to use the a-body (power steer) pitman arm , since the f-body is longer . id look for one from a 80's performance g-body ( monte ss , 442 ,gn ) but then you 'll have to change the rag joint and mess with the different lines , ( on 81 and they used the o -ring versus the ol reversed flare.

    Good deal!

I shopped around, various stores and some were quite pricy, i wont say who of course. But! i did find the good ol' trusty store, Clarks.

no im not advertising but they're a great place to find parts cheap and have most of the parts my old buick needs and i couldnt find in a boneyard! they're gonna do, if i dont find a f body steering box thats in good shape, my steering box for 129 bucks, it'll be out for two or three days. but its a rebuild!

Any rebuttals or anything like that are greatly welcome!
