I know you've seen it before, but now it is in front of my house! I love this car. It is Chris Pollock's old car and then Mark Lob bought it from him.

A special thanks to Mark Lob who personally delivered it to me last Friday. Mark is an exceptional member of the V8 board and it was a pleasure doing business with him. I would not hesitate dealing with him again if the opportunity arises.

That is a very, very nice car, Randy. I wanted to buy it when Chris had it for sale, but I didn't have the room in my garage. If you ever decide to sell it, please let me know.

Sorry, I don't have a memory like an elephant like Chris does. What are the specs on this one? It sure looks nice on the outside.

I saw the car last night and it is SUPER nice. :3gears:
Inside and out the car is clean and straight. The previous owner's all did one hell of a job with that car.

Thanks for all the nice compliments guys it really is a beautiful car very sound and very well done. Dave Kliener has seen the car and told Mark it was a very nice car. I'm in the process of starting up my business which is buying and selling muscle cars and also doing car appraisals i will be certified the first week in November. I will be posting more about my business in a different thread because i will be looking for some feedback. Thanks again for all the compliments.

I still didn't get my answer to the config. Is it a 4spd or auto, ac or non ac, what other options? This is a clone or original? Sorry but I don't remember the details.

I pay a discount at $75 for appraisals. You're getting into something that I wouldn't mind getting into either.

    It's an original 10-10 '70 stage1 auto GS 'tastefully' converted to a 4-speed.

It's in the registry under body #093923. Options obtained from Sloan.

I *think* Scott Miller did much of the restoration/conversion.

A beautiful car - congratulations Randy :beer

Thanks Marco. I'm a little bit speachless.

It leads me to asking.. If I was to upgrade my GSX 455 4spd to a Stage1 would it be better than it is now? As this car being upgraded to a Stage1 4spd from an automatic. What is the difference?

I don't want to lose position on the registry as car number 1. That's for sure.

Scott Miller did the 4 speed conversion, and used a number of Kleiner 4 speed parts, and you would not know it isn't original, it was very well done.

The restoration and conversion to a GSX was done before Scott got it. When he bought the car, it had a Stage 2 motor in it, which he sold separately, and replaced with a 70 SF engine. I had Rick Henderson rebuild that in 2005, if I recall correctly.

    Randy,

I hope you enjoy it. The car really is fantastic, and has had some good Buick people taking care of it for the last couple of years, hope you can keep up the tradition :TU:

    Hi Mike -

I don't think the 4-speed conversion detracted from the value of this particular car at all, as it was non-matching, and it went from an auto to a 4-speed.

I think if you converted from a 4-speed to a TH400 it would detract from the value, some.

People 'upgrage' components all the time - just keep your original parts. Regarding your 10-10X, I wouldn't be suprised if it already is built to stage1 specs :bglasses:

Jim I will let you know when i decide to sell it right now i have quite a few people wanting it now but now is not a good time for me unless i found something alot nicer than this and this one is pretty awesome or someone makes me an offer i can't refuse  I fell pretty fortunate to own this one. Thanks for your interest and compliments.

In that case, some chrome valve covers and a decal will fit my budget nicely.

Now you guys got me thinking again. Maybe I should have bought that 70GS 10-10 Stage1 painted up like a GSX that was in Japan. He had Stage2 correct intake and carb on it too. The story about it being a promotional car for GSX (built in Dec 69) was a little hokey but as a 70GS Stage1 verified by Wayne it was all there, good shape, with a low body number (001297) so there was something going on with a special order. Sorry to distract the thread here but now seeing how nice this car looks it has distracted me.
