    Welcome DuBuick......
I think that is very resectable.
You might have a little more to gain with a better 60',but for the "Docile" look,it runs pretty fast.

    I like it!

Man,if I was you I'd stay away from that Kubisch dude! Next thing you know he'll be over at your house with a welder and a sawzall talking you into hacking up your ride. Seriously though ,Gary seems to know alot about building racecars and has sparked a little debate over cutting up cars to make them faster.Oh by the way, welcome to the coolest place on the web.You will fit in with the rest of us lost Buick souls. Nice car too!

Dubuick, you can learn alot from Gary K. he's got one mean Buick!
Hopefully you can come down to Cecil county dragway October 10th and 11th in Maryland, you can get hold of some of the east coast gang for hotel and pre-registration.
Welcome to the board, you will find many helpfull Buick folks here, as well, please check out www.buickperformancegroup.com and join us in august '04 at Salem Ohio for the first annual Buick Performance Group Buick Bash.

Great looking GS. I had a similar car a couple of years ago. It was a 68 Skylark with a 455, running a Kenne-Bell hydraulic cam and Kenne-Bell intake with a 830 Holley HP. I was about 75# lighter most of the time and ran cast iron 67 heads and DOT tires and mufflers and went a best of 10.61 @ 126 mph. with a short time best of 1.41 with a stock type suspension. Ran the car in NSCA Nostalgia Muscle car for a couple of years before building a NSS that runs the same engine and drive train with 10.5W's and has gone a best of 1.39 60' and a 10.39 @ 127.15mph. Would sure like to have a set of those aluminum heads and Stage 2 headers to see what they would be worth. Taske care.

    hooken up

i also have a 69 GS w/ a 1971 455 i pulled out of a riviera GS that was wrecked. i ran the car at a track in bethlo, fla and ran 14.00s. the car just wouldn't hook up . i tried defferent tires and it didn't make a diffence. if there is a way to hook up and i'm sure there is i'd like to no the secret. all that torque just made my tires spin, i even broke the torque convertor at the flywheel. the car is torn apart now and i have a 1975 455 out of a 4 dr lasabre( that car is what i call a true land yacht). i hope to have it ready by spring to go to bowling green.
