PLEASE NOTE THE NEW, REDUCED PRICE. Thanks!

This is the much harder to find, REAR genuine GM accessory license plate frame for our Buick's. It has the pull-down handle to access the gas filler. I've come up with two GM part numbers for it online: 988699 and 988966. This GM frame looks good on any 1960's-1970's BUICK with the center fill gas tank under the license plate.

This stainless steel frame is in overall very good condition. NOTE: There is ONE dent in it, as shown in the photos near the letter "A". This is NOT a gouged dent, and should be able to be taken out quite nicely by someone who can repair stainless trim. There are also some light scratches here and there (nothing serious), which will be buffed out by the stainless guy. The license plate holding "fingers" are solid. Anything else you might see in the photos is just a reflection.

I'm thinking this frame may have been an early take-off, and then saved. I've had it among my spare goodies for 30 years or so.

The price is $75, plus $8 shipping in the U.S. Thanks for looking. John

John, if you have something rougher in the $20 or $30 range, I’d be a plaaaayuh;)

Hi, John. Thanks for checking in. Sorry, but I only have two of these rear frames available, and both have just one dent. Nothing rougher. Wouldn't you know it!

Hopefully, all of the readers here will forgive me for mentioning "eBay": Although I don't see the rear GM license plate frame come up that often, the last ones auctioned there went for north of $225. Those were in excellent condition. So, I figured $75 would be a decent value for mine, even though there was one dent to straighten. Of course, time will tell. John

To the top once, in case someone missed this nifty, genuine GM rear license plate frame. As I indicated in the post above, I have two of these rear frames available. Both are in very similar condition, with one ding in each. Thanks for looking again. John
