After winning an e-bay auction the other day I found out that Montana has a new law where Year Of Make plates can be permanantly placed on a vehicle that is over 25 years old...

    Plates $46
    permanant sticker $114
Having Cooler plates than every one else (and never having to go back to the DMV) ... Priceless!!

Carry at least two copies of that law. One for you to keep and one for the officer who WILL stop you because your plates have expired and he's ready to write you up.

We got the same gig in Virginia.
My 65 plates on my 65 look just like they belong there.
And the fact that I will never have to go back to the DMV (at least for that car) is priceless.
Those plates you have are cool lookin'.
Virginia plates during the sixties had black numbers on white or white numbers on black every other year.

One more reason for me to move back HOME!

If you can find me a set for 1970 I'll save them until that happens.

in ontario we have a similar manufctured year of use licence plate . there is a catch . the licence # has to be in an UNUSED or not registered state . i have several pairs of various years or plates ( 2 sets of 1972 ) but the #s are still registered eventhough they have been dormant for 20 years + , i cannot use them . they cannot even be unregistered by the last person they were registered to .

Ohio has the same kind of deal. I have 70 plates on my car. $25 and don't expire until 2050 :) Now I never have to worry about renewing the tags to go to a cruise somewhere :)
