Hello I'm from Phoenixville PA and looked at a 64 Buick Special Deluxe last weekend and I'd like to buy it. Problem is, the guy who has the car now, never transferred the title in his name. He has the PA title, and it appears that on the back of the title there were 2 changes of hands that were never notarized. I took images of the front and back of the title to my local auto tags place, and they said "do you know a notary? if so you could get them to sign, date, and stamp for those previous changes of hands and write an affadavit for a signature that appears on the back in error. Don't know if I can solve this situation.

Back to the car! It's a 64 2 door post (1K70 VIN) so it's a special deluxe. Guy who has it now wanted to build a drag car out of it but the project was too big for him. I'd like to get it back on the road and convert it to a 4 speed. Love the looks of the 64 A body post! Here are some pics.

Maybe that would suffice if you have the original signators appear in front of a notary and verify their handwriting. If you do not have this, herem at leastm you would have to apply for and post a bond that expires in the future. This would get you a title,, but, of course, you have to pay for the bond on a % per hundred. DMV sets the bond based on a sliding scale tied to the value of the car. So it would not be a lot of $$. Again this is in N.C. Each state's DMV procedures may differ a bit.
