This site is a must for Buick owners-I have learned a lot from members here-thanks--my car is a 71 Skylark-I bought it last April-previous owner put a somewhat built 455 in her- I am cloning it into a GS- I will pick it up tomorrow from my painter-Cyber gray metallic-it came out much better than expected-it was white with vinyl top-vinyl top is gone now-have to upgrade gears in the future-the little bit I have driven her has been fun-I think I have the only one in town-I have always been a Chevy guy-years ago, 4 friends and myself were coming home late one night, we were in a girl's new 70 GS (silver w/black vinyl top, black interior w/buckets and console--she was tired and asked me if I wanted to drive---loved that car! -now a Buick guy.
Welcome and don't forget that the rear you have is very good,might be just as good as a 12 bolt Chevy,and you can add posy and gears and carrier to it.Plenty of parts for it and we have a couple guy 's here on the board with a lot of knowledge of these rears and they also carry parts for sale.Bruno.
That was my plan-it is an 8.5 --plan on a posi with lower gears-it also has a turbo 350 that will be kept until it breaks-but I don't plan on beating on the car
