Hey guys and gals, I have been lurking around the site for a while now and just decided to join. Well, I just turned 14 and am the proud owner of a '62 Invicta. She is a four-door hard-top with just over 110,000 miles reading on the odometer. She is wearing a pretty a pretty rare and unique color combo. It's a two-tone combo with Cameo Cream on the lower portion of the body and an Arctic White roof. My mother purchased the car about 7 years ago and we have owned it ever since. We do drive it alot, especially in the warm months of the year (were up in MN). This year, I really want to store the car of the winter properly. I do have a car cover, what other precautions should I take? Also, lately I have had some fuel and electrical issues. The carb is an old Rochester 4GC that is leaky. Would an Edelbrock Thunder AVS fit on the 401's intake? Lastly, the electrical issues. This has been hapenning for about a year now. I will charge/jump the battery (yes, I have bought a new battery) and then the next morning it wont be totally dead but will not crank fast enough to start the car. It will then within 7-10 seconds of turning the car over the battery will just be dead. I can hear the starter engauging (SP?) but wont crank it over. Well, anyways, thanks guys.
