Hey everybody, my name is cody, and I am glad to be a member of V8buick.com. It is exciting for me to be here and interact and be connected and be in contact of buick people, such as yourselves. I hope to bring interesting stories and other buick associated stuff. I own a carmine metallic red 1976 buick century. Its pretty awesome. It has a 231 V6, 3 speed automatic, red vinyl interior(you can seat six people on the bench seats), landau top, factory window tint, two doors(coupe), and it is a peg-leg, only one wheel pulls. Im gonna have someone take that axle out and put 3:73 posi trac in it, when-ever I get the money. And that 2 barell carb. isnt cuttin it, so it will have to go, I hope to replace it with a rochester 4-barell. I only have one performance thing on my car, and thats the 2 cherry bomb mufflers along with 3 inch tips that go past the bumper. The dual exhaust adds a great touch and give it a throaty, fast sound, which is cool. But, this car isnt in all that great of condition, kinda junky, but very driveable and very fun to drive, has very nice accelaration for a 6 cyl, but of course, buick kept its promise, "when better cars are built, we will build them", and so far, its true. my car only has 100138 miles on it, aint bad for a 1976! my grandma bought the car in 1988, and gave it to my grandpa in 1995, and in 2001, he gave it to me, and it sat in the garage untile we took it to a local mechanic, and had the trans seals replaced, master cyl rebuilt, new ignition, new ignition switch, and new fluids added, and ever since, it has ran like the true buick that it is. And I just got my permit october 24th, and have been driving the car ever since, a few days a week, the only problem it has now is the brake pads need replaced, new "idiot lights" as they call them(for people who dont know what Idiot lights are, its the lights that you see in the speedometer gauge when you turn the key), and new tires wouldnt hurt. The whole motor should be rebuilt, the transmission probably should too, exterior needs a lot of parts, needs repainted, etc, and the front seat needs replaced(covered), and the dash needs replaced, so it will make a good first restoration project. Well, im glad to be a member and participant in V8buick.com, and i hoped you enjoyed my long story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:Dou:
