I did get a few surprises with the car that I did not know that I was getting, I got a copy of the Original 1972 Georgia Title, a Keychain from the Original Bank that the car was financed at in 1972, it was The Peoples Bank of Carrollton, Georgia and a Dealer Trunk Badge from the Original Dealership that the car was sold new at in 1972, it was New South Motors - Buick - Pontiac - Opel of Carrollton, Georgia and the glove box was full of the folder with all of the owners information as well as the Punched out Buick Build Sheet.
Hey Pat with the new Buick, not Patrick with the old Buick. I see on your profile that you are from Danville. I spend my summers in Virginia in a little town called Glasgow very close to Natural Bridge. I'll give you a shout when I come up this summer and maybe we could go to a local cruise or something. Or just sit down, BS, check out your car, and have a few cold ones. Welcome to the forum! A lot of very knowledgeable Buick enthusiasts are here for your assistance. PS... there is a really good car show in Buena Vista each summer. For a small town about 100 cars show up. Maybe you could drive an hour north and a little west to check it out. John
Thanks John! Yes that will be great just let me know when you are in my area. I usually go to about two Cruise-Ins a month and I love my Coors Light! LOL...
Update: Well I got a good weekend with pretty good weather but it did rain on me a little and the wind hit me a little but I got the Buicks Engine all pressure washed, the Underneath pressure washed and I hand washed the entire car including the wheels & tires twice, I got it inside my garage around 4:00pm Saturday afternoon and dried it all down as I spray waxed it and then shined the tires with some silk tire dressing from Chemical Guys. I done a few other odds and ins to it as well over the weekend, I will post some Pictures of my refreshing progress as I go as well on here in a few days. More to come...
