I am a new member. Just purchased a Gold Skylark with a 350. Here it is as we purchased. Pleased with car. Got alot of plans. Have installed new stereo system and altered the exhaust to have electronis cutouts. Sounds great either way. Stripes, Ac and new seats to come. Need some rookie advice. Call 478-232-0542 if you think you can help. Had problem with picture download. Will try again later.

Post your needs here or in the appropriate forum. I'm sure you'll get more help than you need. Sounds like a nice ride. If you have a photobucket account, its very easy to download your pics there and then link to them. Its easy to register for one too. Keeps bandwidth down on the site as well. Welcome aboard!

Here is a short list for now:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

How do I accurately know exact location of decals and emblems? (Already ordered from Phoenix graphics along with paint templates for painting hood and side stripes)

Need picture of accurate Gold and Black 72 GSX to help guide me. Does it have a small red stripe that goes with the side black stripe?

Best choice for front spoiler/air dam? I think I want one that is flexible. I think the original ones were. Racing guys seem to like the composite one that is $309 at Year One made by Classic Car Interiors. I am not going to race and would like to be protected from damage when touching the occasional curb stop.

I have a 72 Skylark grill. Is there a difference for the 72 GSX? I purchased a GSX grill emblem. Will it work with my 72 grille?
70, 71 replica grills are extra expensive. I do not have clarity on what direction I should go. The car is going to be a driver but if I can be close to accurate, I want to be.

My bumpers have the rubber on them. I think this is accurate for 72. Should I change them?

I know the answers are probably all here but I confess I am to impatient to do the hunting. Thanks for any help! You probably wonder what the long list looks like.
I think my picture is attached now to see it.

I'll help with what I can:

'72 GS grills were all the same, the plastic ones, so your good there. The rubber trims on the bumpers are also correct for '72. The grill emblem I'm not sure about. The peg locations may be different between 70-72. The GSX stripe info is floating around here, its just a matter of finding it or getting the right persons attention.

Was the grill on a 72 GSX painted or colored black. It seams like it would look better if the grille was black.
