I changed the configuration of my 72 a little bit and I think I like the results. Went to P275/60-15 on 15x7rallys rear P245/60-15 on 15x7 front added a rear wing and some hood scoops. a bit of a common look but I do like it. I have become disenchanted with the Summit satin hotrod black. It has just enough gloss (I think they claim 15%) to show off my orange peel finish and all the bondo lurking subsurface. Oh and lets not forget the safety yellow overspray. I *may* do somehting about the paint this spring / summer. Like bomb it with flat black epoxyprimer or better yet, rustoleum. anyhow I thought Id share a pic.
Saw the beast today. Top notch on the hood Ken!:TU: It really looks great. Good job! Body guy too. Someone on here needs to donate him some grills! Too bad we could not cruise today.
Your car looks flat out mean in the flat black paint, If you're not happy with it but still want the flat black look you should look into Hot Rod Flatz. It still has a bit of a shine to it but it is a high quality flat paint.
I was flipping through a bunch of photo's, I think I just Googled Buick, I can't remember but one of the photo's that came up was a Buick done up as an Eleanor car. Boy did that look sweet. I wonder what would have happened if the Eleanor movie car was a Buick instead of a Ford Mustang, HHHHMMMMMMMMMMM.
Where did you procure the hood scoops?? I'm looking to add them to my Riv w/ the GS Ram Air cleaner eventually.....:TU:
In the past I have not been a fan of the flat black paint jobs. But I will give yors a lot of credit, it looks awsome!!!!!!:beers2:
I was thinking of going flat black instead of satin, and then adding a home-done GSX stripe theme in satin black. Rat-X I need to make it quieter too. I wont tell you how many times "the man" has made a Uturn and hounded me through the yuppie towns I am surrounded by. My car doesnt "fit in" there. I must look like a bad seed.
