But it comes with extra wheels aparently since the desciption says "15 Olds ralley wheels and new T/A radial tires". The poor sucker who buys it can at least try to sell the other 11 wheels and tires to recover some of his $$$.

He is honest. He says it has W-30 options. I sold a gold W-30 for less with a Build Sheet. But those days are long gone.

the thing is ...the more you look the more you see wrong---I mean they couldn't even get the right pattern on the seat covers! Man, doesn't anyone ever put two and two together??--If the obvious stuff is so far off the mark then how was the expensive stuff (body/motor) done? Patton

You're right, John, technically.....(damn lawyers)......He isn't advertising it as a real W30. But if that build sheet has that VIN and W30 anywhere on it.........tsk, tsk, tsk. :(

At least he isn't hanging T & A all over it like that guy in Alabama on ebay. That's hilarious. I was ready to bid on them myself!

Dave the prices have gotten out of hand on any W-30 car. These cars are 10k higher this year than last. I bought a 66 442 conv in Charlotte and my friends thought I had lost my mind at what I had to pay but the car is a hell of a bargain when the white car on ebay brought 36.1k this week. I hate it but the realilty is that there are people who recognize the rareness of the cars and are willing to pay the price. The parts are just as bad. I carb tag for a 66 tri power is at 103 and I got outbid on a set of poverty caps for a 66 at 455.00. :Do No:

Along the same lines was the Pontiac Ram Air V GTO with the Royal Bobcat paintjob last month. If you missed it, it was a RA III with RA V heads and dual quad. The car was listed as a RA V but in the description the seller put in just enough to not get hung, but still enough to fool the unwary. His original reserve price was over $100,000. The first auction (private of course)went to $75K. The second time, after much discussion on the PY forum, it only got to about 35K. Too bad, eh?

No problem, JEA. I watched those auctions (carb tag and 66 dog dishes). Just found out one of my friends sold those same dog dishes to the guy that just ebayed them (another friend) for half that last year.

    Ride the wave.................

I know I tried to buy a set last year on ebay. Went to 366, finally bought a set at 370 and they had to be restored completely. Probably will have 800 in the set when finished. Still need a set if you hear of any. John

List a Buick with the W30 package on Ebay and see what happens.

As a young enthusiast I almost want to spend some of my home equity to get a nice car now. I mean d@#n it but I am going back to school so I can afford my hobby. Don't tell the wife though:) I have on Master's degree so why not another and triple my salary.
Also I live in OKC and was wondering who the member OKLAHOMA is. I'm trying to make contacts in the area. I just got off the phone with a gentleman with a newly restored 68 H/O among other toys. He maybe on this list but very very quiet.

Funny I should happen to stop by. I am Fred Volz, an auto shop teacher at Oklahoma Academy, a private Christian school in Harrah. My students and I are building a 72 GSX clone, complete with 455 Ram Air, T-400, etc. I would be happy to answer any questions.

If the guy didn't know all W30's were built in Lansing, which is easily discerned from the vin, he ALMOST deserves to get burned.

Very misleading ad since the W30 was indeed an option on the 442.

Does make me wonder what my real one will be worth in a year or two......

Hell, maybe I'll list it with a stratospheric reserve to test the waters.

    Fred,
Sounds like a very cool project. I'm an Olds enthusiast currently w/o any classic muscle. My email address is crumleym_50@yahoo.com. I work in Del City and my grandfather lives in Choctaw so I'm in your area often. In fact I was at Hudson's not to long ago checking out the local yarde. Good luck with the project.
