Hello all, I'm Josh from Minnesota. I posted a couple questions before posting here. Thanks for all the responses. Reading through other posts I saw I should introduce myself. I have a 1967 Skylark coupe with a post I bought in 1998 senior year of high school for $1100. 350sbb th350. Bright yellow then. Upgraded to front power discs in 1999. Engine got tired in the mid 2000s low oil pressure light would come on, original rear end popped from burnouts, and tranny started slipping bad. Life moved on and the car sat for the last 10 years. Time to start getting it ready for the road, hopefully summer of 2020. Picked up a 72 455 when the engine started getting weak. Local machinist died after cleaning the block and having the crank turned. Motor sat since then. Had some ideas of how to build this and got some great advice from board members. Took that advise and read some more - really liking Larry's build. I contacted Jim and will bring my block to him in June and will make final build plans then. Thanks for all the info and ideas you have given, look forward to being a member of this forum. Josh
Hey, Josh. Just got back from Cass Lake Mn. walleye fishing. I've been fishing that lake for many years. I just picked up a a 67' special 34o-4 myself. Welcome.
"Local machinist died after cleaning the block and having the crank turned..." Yikes, your car is not named Christine is it?
