Hey: I purchased this @ the back to 50's car show @ the state fairgrounds in Mn. here a couple weeks back, I have the 215 all aluminum motor and it hits the intake and wont work for me. This distributor puts out 65,000 volts. I paid $150 for it, it has a 3 year warranty(warranty card is with it), All i would like is my money back plus whatever costs are incurred(paypal, shipping etc..) This will fit all the small block v8 buick motors 215, 300, 340 & 350's
Usually they hit the front manifold bolt. That's why the newer V6s had a torkx bolt in that one position because the hex bolt hits the base of the HEI distributor. I've seen guys grind part of the bolt head away for clearance. You could go to a salvage yard and get the torkx screw from a V6 or maybe an allen head cap screw would give enough clearance. I know that will work on older V6s and 300s but not sure on the 215. The 215 should have more clearance since it has a lower deck height.
Well it turns out britt is not going to buy this. Is anyone else interested ... i can't beleive this is still sitting here n nobody wants it ... this i thought was a good deal.
:3gears:Hey Keith,Jay here....please check your PM...you might be pleased(The payment is ON THE WAY!!!)and Thank You for being patient. Jay B.Britt,Jr. P.S. Thank you for doing business with me. JB
