Hello all, I just got my baby back after 10 years. I had a old severely rusted out '72 350-2 that I tinkered with in 1988-1990. I was an absolute piece! A year or so later, when I was 18, I found an 82 year old guy with an all original 1970 Skylark Custom with 49,000 miles on it that he bought new. It was completely rust free and very nice (rare for Ohio). $2500.00 bucks later she was mine. Window sticker and all! I kept it bone stock except for some 14" ralleye's and drove it for about 3 years. Then I got the 5.0 Mustang bug, as everyone did in the early ninties. Sold the car to my dad and forgot about it until last week. He was wanting to sell it, and I was helping him. The car's paint is faded and some rust has started in a few areas, but has only 69,300 miles on it. It sat for the last 4 years without being driven, so other issues have developed. I figured about 4000.00 would be a good price. I found a buyer....then made the mistake of driving it. I was 18 all over again. The car would be mine again. Period. Called off the sale, and threw some new Torque Thrust 16" rims and tires on it, some Flowmasters, and drove it. I thought the world of modifications Buicks was still as bad as it was in 1991 after visiting Jegs. The guy said "Put a Chevy engine in it". I beat him down and left. I found this website in desperation, and am happy I did. The car is going away in the fall for a complete restoration (I make a little more cash now!). I need alot of advice on that for sure. The engine will get some warming up, and rebuilt fully. Can't wait till next summer. She gonna be a beauty! I need you guys to help me!
