My good buddy Al just got this one. Was on ebay. Very cool car. So it's 3 '65 Cats in our small town. Again. One green one was sold from him before, as this was not in a good condition.

When the Truck arrived there were some more Mustangs on, and guys were waiting for them. Their chin fell to the ground when they saw the Wildcat compared to their boring little Mustangs. Haha. In Germany for some strange reason everybody wants a Mustang. And they do not know about the real stuff.

It is a little lowered and has lake pipes, which look good in real. He is looking for 2 Bucket seats, to replace the bench. And wants to install power windows.
Anyone who wants to sell these parts contact me please.

Stunning car. Beautiful color. Looks like Shadow Turquoise which is my favorite.
Yea I agree, bucket seats would really add a nice touch.

Since it was an ebay purchase, was the car what your friend Al expected it to be?

Did it come from Washington state ? It looks like a local one that I knew was for sale.

Yes it was from Washington State.

When he showed me the ebay ad, I knew that I had seen the car before on the internet. On Cardomain there's pictures and restauration story of this car.

The color is unbelieveable! It looks so good. Sadly the front fenders got damaged on the way over here. :Dou: But he can fix it.

Yeah u need buckets, or at least a power bench. U just are not able to sit comfortable in this car like it is at the moment. The bench is so steep and u can't get in a real cruising position. It is a Wildcat Custom. The interiour is black.

Yes, he is pretty happy with the cat! Was a good deal! And I need to nice up my cats too, before he gets too proud! smile. I need a black 4 speed coupe.
One day I find one. At the moment I have enough projects actually.

mmhh, all in all it was 3700.- including taxes and shipping and other B.S...... right to our door here, which is another shipping trip from the pier in Holland where the car was shipped over the ocean.

Which is around 5400.- Dollars. That's the main reason we don't buy more cars over there.:ball:

No shipping and handling was 3700 Euros which is 5400 US Dollars!

We have other cars also. It's kind of US Car County here. People start buying old cars now too, after seeing us cruise around. ;)
There is another '64 Wildcat but a 4 door, and a 63 Coupe in the next town.

Not as bad of dollor amount then , got any pics of your other American cars?
I am kinnda sad to see cars leave the US becuase they never come back but I know that to spend that kinds money you must love and take care of them.

I suppose the Cat had to travel quite some (inland) miles than in WA, cause $3.700 from a WA harbor to Rotterdam is way too much. Last time I paid $2.100 all-in (LA to Rotterdam, seacontainer, customs, tax).
My next car (a Cat:) ) will be shipped from TX and will be even cheaper.
If I did the math right: for Rotterdam-Augsburg (500mls) you had to pay $1.700??

It was 3700 Euros not Dollars! ;) even more!

It was a special single transport from W.A. to L.A, so that nothing happens to the car. Still did. Wasn't cheap though but insured. And then to Rotterdam.
15000 Dollars purchase price of the car, + all the shipping handling etc. From this 7% and The Transport to our town was at least 600 Euros, I think.
I have to ask again, Maybe I'm a few Euros to high, and it was 3400.-

One of my cars is in my happy new year thread. A silver '65 Wilcat Custom Ragtop. Then I have 3 Tri Chevys, all 4 speeds, '55 Nomad Gasser, '55 210 2 door Gasser, '57 Hardtop Coupe, '59 Chevy El Camino Kustom, A '69 R/T Charger 4 Speed (sanding this the whole day today), a '74 Ford F250 4x4 highboy, another '65 Wildcat Custom Coupe, '61 Buick Electra 225 convertible (actually my buddies and me, want to sell again), and other Junkers.

Hope to look at a '67 GTO tomorrow, and I have found a genuine '67 Camaro SS 350 4 speed in a barn, not far from me. It sits there since 18 years I have been told. I'm more than excited. Waiting for the owner to come back from vacation.

I'm:Dou: but I:bglasses: it! It's an addiction. And there

Also I have a cool Opel Commodore GS that is probably unknown to americans. It was the German Muscle Car back in the days. 1968-1971

I believe I had this picture on already?

All cool stuff " WILD KAT" love the pic and admire a car guy that collects even when its tough to do being in Europe.
Iam suprised you didnt ship out of Seattle or Tacoma both big ports here in Washington and very close to where this car was located. I would guess that the trip to LA cost 1000 plus
I was wondering what Al paid for car I knew the past owner wanted around 15000 us for it but I didnt even know that he had sold it yet.

    Yes 15 grand he paid.

There is a guy from here, we know who does shipping from LA, that is the reason he shipped it to L.A. first. Yes was more expensive, but he doesn't care.
