O.K. the Block issue has quieted down somewhat, that can be a good or bad thing, let's not fight over Aluminum VS. steel.
and I allready learned about the use of aluminum wire VS. copper wire so thats covered.

I would like to hear some updates and or progress on the manufacture process, blueprints, timelines, progress thus far?ptototypes? molds, costs, etc....ah yes, pictures say a thousand words as well!
Kinda like a midterm progress report, Bruce

remember to play nice! as either block is a win, win situation for all of us, the consumer!!!

    Bruce,

very well put. i too would like to hear an update on both of the blocks. i may not ever be able to buy or use one put this is indeed HUGE news for the Buick racing family. i can see some big blown, and big hit NOS cars showing up now with the upcoming aluminum from TA. and some great NA power outa the iron block from PAE. for my personal opinion, the iron would be my first choice bar none ! but i like using carbs. and besides the pro-stock guys use them and run upwards of 204 m.p.h. and into the 6's. they don't need aluminum so why would i ? on the other hand, if a big NOS or Blower is your deal.... the lighter repairable block would be the way to go. i dont know.................. but i look forward to the racing that is gonna take place when these babies hit their respective floors.

Jim Burek told us once that is still looking at spring of this year for his release. i havent seen TA post anything other than they were doing one yet. but i am sure i probably just missed their projected dates. i am looking forward to seeing them both. WHAT a boost in the Buick racing arm with these babies, huh ? :TU:

    later.................................

Happen to talk to Mike this morining..

TA's ad in "The Build Sheet" and his website will be the place to go for that info, on the aluminum block.

That project is underway. He will put pics and info on his site, similar to what they did with the Alum V-6 block, during it's creation.
