I would like to think Rick Crawford I went to Pueblo,Co these weekend for the High Plains Buick race it was are 12th race we had a 100 cars lots of nice people. 3.89 gear with the 30.13.50 Et street work ok with stock geared turbo 400. Saturday they had a test-tune the car was running 11.20 on the motor with bad 60s 1.66 to 1.79 with the trans brake. the car would not hook i tryed all the rear shock setting didnt seem to make any differents. Later in the day i ran the the gas i turned it on at the 1/8 it hit and then laid over i rolled my foot out the gas peddle and it went 10.73 at 126 it was 5mph faster than it runs on the motor at my home track the car goes 11teens on the motor with 60s in the 1.5s. Sunday Buick race we got to the track at7:30 I Change oil jetted down from 92 square to 90s movied to the timing back to 34 from 30 set the shocks to 3 on the compression side and 5 ex side and put the tire up to 14.5 from 13 so i could foot brake the car . The first pass i left at 2000 it ran a 11.18 119mph 60 was a 1.63 the second was a 2200 rpm it ran 11.07 at 121 mph 60 was a 1.60 best all weekend i 11.07 to 11.27. at end of the day they let us run some time onlys so went retimed the engine at 30 ran nos jets 82-82 fuel flowed at 6psi I hit it out of the hole on the foot brake it went a 10.24 at 135mph the 60 was a 1.63 the track dosnt hook at my home track i am shure these would be a high 9 second pass at 5,800 feet
THanks 9's will be easy once you get that 60ft down where it should be. Not to mention a little more fine tuning. :Brow: Thats still flyin' for 5800ft. YOu better hold on if you get that thing down to see level.
Hay Rick i didnt no if you got my message call me on Thursday or Friday like you did last time it was 6:00 pm last time you call worked out good. The part throttle worked out good i think i could do a little better with a bigger carb. I think if i can get it to run low 1.4s 60s to high 1.3s 9s should be there. Heading to the Track to day to help a friend out .
