Well I went out to test some different tires today at Norwalk only to find out the borrowed tires were mounted on rims that use a different bolt pattern than mine.
Test was ruined so the only option was to race on my current Goodyears......Well,With 13-13.5 PSI they started to feel a little better,Still need to try something else.

    Anyway,4th round of elim's I went .499 so I ran it out the back door.......9.62 at 138+

This is a rip-roarin' .01 faster than my old best at 9.63

All at 3430lbs though the exhaust

    NJBuickRacer I'd rather be racing...

.01 may not seem like much, but for me missing the stock internals C5 record by that much it's a real kick in the arse. Record is 11.626 and I ran 11.631:Dou:

Hi Gary, I would like to know what you have for exhaust system to run that good. I have a home made 3" on mine with the cheaper dynomax mufflers that neck down to 2 1/2" inside and I am only in the 11s and I loose almost 3 tenths and 3 mph with the exhaust hooked up. I realize my mufflers are probably hurting it some. Tom W

    Gary,

Not bad for a "cut up" gutted Buick.:moonu:

    Just messin with ya.

What was the 60' and the 1/8th e.t. and 1/8th MPH?

Oh and congrats. Faster is better.

First half incrementals were not the best the car has ever seen......6.10 at 112 in the 1/8th with a 1.355 60 ft.
Car has been 1.31 a few times,I have 2 things to try,I think I know where the 60 fts went.

    Tom
Exhaust is 3 1/2" Stainless to the rear axle with Borla mufflers and turn downs.
I'd really like to try an X-pipe but it has to made custom because of th diagonal link on the rr suspension.
I haven't run the w/o the exhaust......I think it would take away from the what the Car is....:Do No:

Nice call Gary. I have only started mine once without the exhaust do to per pressure it lasted about 15 seconds and I shut if off and told them classy cars need not sound that loud to kick there butt's (all chevy guy's). I like to be able to order burgers at the drive thru.

Why don't you just give that thing a whiff of Nos already, that should bump you up on the timeslip board, top 10 would be nice....step up or step out, live in the now......

The Nitrous is calling Gary. Just run it through a WOT switch and put a button in the steering wheel fork. That way you can control it a little better a get a feel for what it will do.:Brow:

Congrats Gary ! You got that thing FLYIN ! ! It will be interstesting to see what kind of times you'll post this fall when the air gets cold and crisp !

I'm hoping for some 10.00 's or 10 teens with the colder air.

Bring on the cooler temps ! !
