    Hi everybody.
    I'm from Poland and I'm fresh owner of 1964 Buick Skylark Convertible.
    It's a 300 cu.in. V8 2 barrel carb.(Wildcat 310) in quite good shape (quite new red interior)
    and with automatic transmistion (th300).
    Now I'm rebuilding engine.
    Next thing will be new conv. top with complete weatherstrip set.
    I think it will all work before december.

    See that all too often. :Do No: Ever wonder what someone is thinking when it is going together ? I made the mistake with the core support on the first '65. Funny how '65 fenders won't fit on '64 core support. :mad: LOL
    Looks like a nice car.

    Yeah thats a 65 tail end. The side moldings and front end is a 64 for sure. But look at the left side quarter molding. It is a fender molding mounted backwards.

    ... still a nice looking car just the way it is.

    We need to help Tommy with interior parts! Tommy, make a list of things you need.

    Without a doubt a nice car. I thought maybe due to being over seas it may be some sort of Hybrid car.

    My guess it hit something and needed a front clip. That was the best they could find as a replacement.

    I haven't seen a dashboard/glovebox like this one in any of the '65 Skylarks I have owned. Is there something more to this mystery car?

    The dash is a 64 as well. The glove box lock is on the dash rather than on the glove box door. Those dash surrounds came on 64's and 65 Specials rather than the 65 distinctive upper dash pad.

    Welcome Tomek,
    You find a lot of help here.:)
    This is the third 65 Skylark Ive seen with a 64 front end on it. One was on Ebay a while ago, the other was in upper NY and the gentleman said it was original. Did Buick get caught short during a 64 / 65 year change and use 64 trim and front ends on 65s. :Do No: It'd be interesting to find out the history on these cars.

    Hi again
    Thanks for posts :)
    I'll be graetful for any help :)

    I'm pretty sure that is 64
    It was sold in 1964 straight to europe (Switzerland)
    Maybe this is the source of differences.

    To be sure my VIN nr is (i think this is VIN) 3K1069260.

    Why ? You think I need to change something in interior ? I thought everything is ok :)

    Tomek:

    No, this car was actually built in Switzerland at the Bienne (French name) / Biel (German name) factory.
    And of course there is the Flint, Michigan factory in the VIN, like all Swiss built Buicks have.

    3 = Skylark V8
    K = Model year 1964
    1 = Flint, Michigan factory
    069260 = Production number for model year 1964

    You even have the GM Suisse logo on your grille:

    So I reckon that your speedometer is in KM/H.

    I didn't know that Buicks were made in europe :)

    And thanks, I don't need weatherstrip. I already have new one from classicbuicks.com

    In the past GM built American models in Europe in cities like Copenhagen (Denmark), Antwerp (Belgium), Berlin (Germany), Bienne/Biel (Switzerland) and Stockholm (Sweden)

    They even built cars in your country, in Warsaw, Poland (1929 - 1939)
