Guys, For what its worth, someone posted here calling my integrity into question based on Georges post that they are sold, accusing me of selling these “off thread”. I wouldnt do that. I hope the rest of us understood what George meant with his post. I do understand the meaning of Integrity. It is not a very big word.
I got it. Sometimes people don't read the thread properly and are quick to judge. Once something was offered for sale and the person offered less than the seller wanted. I offered full price and it started a huge controversy .
Oh god... People, here is what happened: Jim posted at 5:11 who know's what time, but the time stamp is 5:11. I reply Sold at 5:18 (time stamp). At that time, only the OP saw his thread, so there was only 1 view prior to my reply. As to the "Where and when?" - This means "I will buy them, Jim. Consider them sold. Where would you like payment? When would you like payment? One can then assume I am also asking what form of payment Jim would want. However, that is a private matter between the purchaser (me) and the seller (Jim). I apologize my post was not clear for everyone reading it. Jim understood it, messaged me quickly, I replied when I saw it, and we have agreed to the terms of this sale. Got that right. Steve's wheels are by far better than Wheel Vintiques, Stockton or Specialty Wheel. Most of the three mentioned have runout, either side wobble or o.d.
I understood it to be sold on the first reply. No mystery to me. For the record, I have had people PM me, wanting to buy something out from under someone else inline at a higher price. I've always refused and told them to get in line.
For what it's worth, I dont think you need to apologize. Someone misunderstood the context of your post and spouted off. That's on them, not you. They have since made it right, sounds as though all is good in the 'hood! Keep Calm and Carry On!
Agree 100%. I bought a pair about 5 years ago and they still look new and run smooth as glass with 295/50 x 15s on them. And, I drive my GS a lot. Wish he was still making them.
