The Super Chevy show was at Beech Bend this weekend and I just heard that a good friend of mine had his slick 67 Camaro race car run into by a drunk on the return road. The Camaro was parked in front of his enclosed trailer and the drunk guy got into his brothers car and did a burn out on the return road and the car got out of shape and hit my friends Camaro in the door/door jam/ and quarter panel. Guess the Camaro is tore up real bad and of course the owner of the Pontiac Firebird that ran into it is sorry but has no money and neither does his idiot brother who was driving it. Someone called the Bowling Green police and they did come and give the guy a field sobriiety test in which they found him drunk and arrested him but as soon as he is sober he will be out of jail and as he is from another state nothing will ever come from it. Funny thing is, my buddy has never parked in that spot before and has raced at Beech Bend for over 20 years with this same car and this is the second time I know of that a race car (last time three race cars) were run into at the exact parking spot by a out of control car.
He needs to take the guy AND his brother to court...if nothing else, he might get a Firebird out of the deal :laugh:
