Hey everybody, Has a good friend who wants to put a new vinyl top on his 70 GS. It is bamboo cream with the brown vinyl. Question is, where do you get the correct vinyl material? Please let me know! Went to the local Apple Auto Glass & picked from his sample board. Not really sure this is the absolute " correct" colour or texture. I'm quite happy though, looks good to me. I recently ordered a custom set of bucket covers in '71 Sandalwood for my car. Paid a small premium, not too much. Wonder if they would consider this approach with a vinyl roof?

I am a little surprised (okay disappointed) that I haven't seen a response from Carl Rychlik, Larry70GS or PackerBacker, et al, yet. As nice as your cars are, didn't you guys have to replace your tops? chris ,i just put a new top on my 70 last year its green but the place i got it has the correct grain in a lot of the hard to find colors.its called original auto interiors (586) 727-2486 they are in columbus,mi jeff
I am looking for the same color top too.I want to put it on the 70 Bamboo Cream car I have here too. Pat
Chris, Carl and I were at the Nats, and didn't have access to a computer all week. I actually got my vinyl top from Carl. When he found an NOS one, he sold me the one he had found. (can't remember the supplier) Maybe Carl can provide more info. Right now, he's still on his way home from BG. I know there are some subtle differences in the shade of brown. Carl's top is somewhat lighter than the one on my car. I think I still have a sample somewhere.
