    Hi all -
I got this Z-Bar/equalizer setup with a '72 Cutlass that I bought last week (not installed), along with a BOP bellhousing with provisions for the starter on both sides and pedals. The three 455 4 speed '72 Oldsmobiles that I've owned all had this installed and functional already, so I assumed it was a correct Olds piece but I quickly learned it wasn't. So, I asked the previous onwer where he got it and he said a '72 Skylark out of NM. Can one of you please verify that these are Buick pieces? Thanks much.

It looks like a Buick one to me.

    Thanks

Thank you sir. From your lineup, it appears you would be qualified to make that determination!

    Hi Terry, George is correct.

Your Z-bar is Buick Big Block 1968-1972 A-body. It has an unusual right angle grease fitting installed.

Frame bracket is standard for all 68-72 A-Body(Cutlass, Chevelle, LeMans, Skylark).

The lower clutch fork linkage is not Buick, looks to be fabricated.

The last linkage is your reverse lockout linkage to the steering column. Those are pretty much generic pieces & difficult to identify to any detail.

Terry, I have an Olds Cutlass big block Z-bar, I would do an even trade with you if you wish for the Buick Z-bar.

A trade sounds good if it's in comparable condition - shoot me an email at vette442@hotmail.com.

I won't be using the pedals or bellhousing, so if anyone's interested, let me know. Thanks.
