Need this Z bar ID'ed.... please>>>

    The top one was found in the trunk of a 68 small block... I have no idea what it is for or from.... For reference, the bottom Z bar is from a '70 455 :Brow:

    George, it is quite likely a GM Z-bar because of configuration. But it is not Buick and looks to be heavily modified - maybe a redneck modified chevy big block z-bar, however arm offsets are hard to imagine it will work at all.

    The first thing you need to do is turn one over in the pics and compare geometry properly(put the two ball stud ends at one end & two frame ends at the other). In Other workd both grease fittings will point down. If you do this it looks similar to A-body arm placements on main shaft.

    However is is hightly modified and likely a trash item(if it is Chevy - their parts are reproduced cheaply). Upper clutch rod end is too short and it was likely in a car with a cut firewall if it was GM A-body and lower arm is patched together + at a strange angle.

    Hmm good mystery, but I bet the fellow that modified this Z-bar is more interesting than our theories.
