Does anyone know a source for the windshield molding screws used on 70-72. All I have been able to find are zink. Originals were chrome or stainless with plastic washers. These screws were also used on trunk trim.

Just be aware that the windshield screws area pointed tip coarse sheet metal thread and the trunk screws are a blunt/flat tip with a fine machine screw type thread...so you don't really want to use the trunk screws up there and vice versa.

Mr. G's has a huge assortment of OE style hardware - since it sounds like you know what you are looking for, you may be able to go thru the fastener pages to find what you need. Their web address is www.mrgusa.com.

I have some spare screws left over from my own car.
The widshield screws I used a stainless "mod-truss" 3/8 long, mushroom head, Phillips drive. Identical in appearance to the OEM. Trunk trim I used a plated 8/32 or 6/32. Bought a handful of them in 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2 lengths. Might have been stainless there too. Don't remember which ones I used. The car is still in storage.
Go to a local industrial supplier/jobber. What they don't have they can usually get.
    I bought a 100/box of the mod-truss for about $ 6.00.
Let me know if you get stuck.

There is a dealer on Ebay called Fastners plus. They have a bunch of different applications.

Thanks for the tips. I think I got my Zinc from MR. G. Also the best site i have seen for bolts is AMK per someone on this board. They have an incredible amount of correct marking screws and bolts but not these? I would think one of the Chev suppliers would have stepped up to th plate on this one.

Dave--If you have some time to wait I should have the correct (chrome, not zinc) ones soon for the windshield area--approx 1-2 weeks. Want to get them in hand to make sure they are right. Patton

That would be great Patton. I have plenty of time I am just stockpiling parts. I would be interested in what you find.. Thanks, Dave
