You talking about where the bushing part of the upper arms goes into the frame? Cause mine was a tight fit. Had to put the grease they supplied to squeeze it in. Or is it 1/8th away from hole in frame to get bolts to line up? Anyways I had the whole rearend out cause I painted it and replaced all gas tank rubber lines while it was easier to do. And anything else it needed while the rear was out. I installed lowers first then uppers using a jack under rear to raise it. Hotchkis told me that the measurement on uppers is 10 1/4 inches from center to center of bolt holes if you want the adjustables to be the same as the stock locations. Which is what I did seeing as how I don't have a way to adjust pinion angle yet.

yes...but I have the spherical bearings on the frame side ...and about 1/8 inch of slack in between on both pass/drivers side
seems it will tighten up ...but just asking bcs my stock uca were snug like a bit ..maybe the ruuber...

just asking if this is normal :Do No:

havnt tightened anything up yes ....just hanging there ..waiting for rear end to arrive .....

The metal sleeve that the bolt goes through should be pretty snug with no play. There should be quite a bit of room around the end of the housing for the spherical bushing or it would not be able to articulate. It is that articulation that you want so the rear end does not bind. I think you should be fine.

also...edelbrock gives you theses slim regualr washers & also a set of thick washers that would seem to take up the slack ...
I'm guessing these are for the frame bolts ...or are the thick ones spacers for slack ????????

....on a chevelle forum I have the same question out and they are telling me that sometimes theres washers for this slack ...
and that its in edelbrocks instruction papers ....but I no see nada...
