I want a little input from you A body experts before I spend hard earned money. I have come across a 67 GS400 convertible for sale for $1600. It is all complete but the rare breather. Car has not run in many years. Rust in lower quarters, fenders and needs floor and trunk pans. Original 400 engine that is stuck. Original automatic trans. Posi rear. Bench seat. Clear title but don't know if it would be a fixer or a part-out car. The owner says he gave up on fixing it after calculating all the labor needed. Is it worth the asking price?
How's the grille and all the high dollar parts? Do you know if 66' parts are the same when it comes to body panels? Only reason i'm asking is there is one down the road and it is in good condition except for the passenger front fender which got crushed in the accident.
I have not seen the car in person yet. The owner did tell me all he knew about it. He wasn't sure about the grill condition. He said that it was complete except for the breather. Don't know what fits a 66, but someone will on here.
