OK yall heres the deal, I have to do something here. I have the 64' basically done but the cage is illegal in it. So it has to come out obviously. But I VERY much prefer the 67's and I have a GS that is basically gutted(I still have all the parts) and could go the racecar route fairly easy. The 64' has a good title for a return to the street, the 67' I would have to do the work and get one. I am having a new motor built, the trans will be getting freshened up and I had planned on opening the rear up anyways. So all the race parts could be thrown either way without much problem. There is really nothing special about the 67' cept' it was parked in 72' and only has 9536.7 original miles on it. I am gonna have a cage put in something, but which one ?????? Opinions ???????????
The 67's are sure getting rare around here...... and it would be a shame (to me) to cut up a low mileage survivor. How much of the 67 is original? Mike
Mike, I don't have the original block and the star wars air cleaner is gone. Other than that I have everything. Exhaust, 67' heads, intake, valve covers. Along another line in regards to this, I may have stumbled on a plan that could save the 67' from the track. But would mean selling the 64' turn key, to purchase a certified roller. Safety is at the top of the list now and thats what I am thinking about 100%. Things move fast when ya stand still....... I am waiting on a phone call, but in the meantime, I am still stumped. I'm watching the vote here..................seriously !!!
64 or 67 Howdy Try this. Clear your mind, close your eyes and make a run down the track. What car are you in. That is the one to build. Just have fun!!!!! Mark S.
