I realize this MIGHT be a bit old for this forum but I already have a login here. I am living in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and one of the local car pals has, of all things, a 1963 Skylark Convertable... or thats what its listed as. I dont have easy access to the car but had him send me the VIN: 3J1531846 also the Engine #: CA3J1531846 About all I can find a match for is "made in Mexico" but dont really trust what Im finding. Anyone know whats what using that information or can send me in the right direction? Pics for the curious: http://shw.fotopages.com/6173655/wwwamcmotorsasiacom.html http://www.amcmotorsasia.com/gal_nilai12.jpg Im going to try and source some parts for it while in the US next month so if anyone has a line on this stuff let me know: RUBBER SEALS FULL SET LENS FOR REAR COURTESY LIGHT LEFT AND RIGHT.. S You need th number off the cowl tag in order to decipher its model etc. That is different than the VIN. I believe under the 63 convention the 3 = 63 and the J! = Flint plant If you look at the cowl tag it should read that year 44367 at the beginning.
