I just thought of one more piece I need to find for my 65 GS (that is excluding the stuff I just need to order new!) I need a good bottom section of the rear seat. My car was so wet in the floor and the carpet was so wet that it rusted the bottom front edge of the bottom section of the rear seat very badly. It is still all in one piece, but is so thin that it is going to crumble when I go to replace the seat cover on it. It is the same as the 64-66 2dr. HT cars (other than the 66 Special with the base interior--that seat is longer). I found a guy on here once before that had one, but it was going to cost over $100 to ship it here from where he was out west. Does anyone living close to NC have one they want to part with? I do not care what the cover looks like, just long as the frame is in great shape.
Do you know if 66 or 67 are the same? I might be able to help you out, since I'll be down there picking up the trans anyway:grin:
I know that '66 is the same provided it came out of a 2dr. HT and that it was one with the large arm rest boxes on either end of the back seat. If it came out of a Special that had the longer seat that went all the way to the side panels and had small arm rests like the front doors, then it will not work--too long. As for '67, I think it is the same, but not for sure since I do not have a '67. Maybe someone else knows?
