I haven't seen the transmission. But it is an overdrive trans in a 80 or so Malibu Wagon with a 305 engine. It would be a core I think, it has been sitting for a few years.
I see the 200 4 R talked about, would this be one?? Would it bolt to my 69 BB Buick, or my 69 BB Olds?? Thanks, and Happy New Year yall!!

Most 200 4r transmissions have the daul bolt pattern the Chev, and the BOP. There were some 2004rs made which only had the Chev. bolt pattern. If you look at the trans. and it is on the Chev. motor if it is the dual bolt pattern housing it'll have two additional top bolt holes in the housing not being used about an inch higher & a 1/2" inward than the ones used for the Chev. motor.

No. I know Olds used them for the first time in 82. I don't know when the first 200 4rs were made. It may be a 700 4r with the Chev. only bolt pattern. Perhaps someone can chime in to identify which trans it is either by the year or visually.

I just read GM used the 200 r4 from 81-90 in a Hotrod magazine article. Infact in the article they were pulling a 200 4r from a 81 Malibu. Hope this helps.
