    Hi everyone,

I was removing the two interior plastic corner pieces underneath the inside of the rear window and the passenger side piece broke. Would anyone happen to have this piece for sale? The part number on the piece is 7717602. I'll buy a pair if I have to.

Forgot to mention - this part is from my 1971 Buick Skylark.

    Chris,
Contact "Duane" on this board. He sells them by the pair and they are stronger and not brittle like the originals.

According to the part number I assume they are the same as the 68/69 model
Good to know Duane has them ! I'm waiting for a pair of his sail panel light this coming days !
Here's a picture of my 68' package tray corner , does they look the same shape ?

    here's a question...

I had 2 sets of these, one was textured and one was smooth. I've never seen anyone ask about the difference or look for one particular type... Does anyone know if there was a change from one year to another or just 2 styles being made at one time???

    regards

    >>My drivers side corner is perfect but my passenger side is missing a piece - it was very brittle and broke off as soon as I touched it.

    Ken,
In answer to your smooth/textured question, some 1971 model cars came with a grained version. I only see them occasionally, and have seen them on cars from different assembly plants, so it was not a "production plant" type of thing.

Because they are so few and far between, and because the 71's were also available in the smooth version, I decided to only do the "smooth" set of molds that will cover all the years. There are a few guys out there that do want the grained version, and track down originals to keep there cars original. Hats off to them for tracking down what they need.

    Donald,
Yes my parts look like your 68 pieces, and I will check those numbers against my parts.

    Donald,
I just took a set of corners off a 71 GS and the numbers cast into them were 7717602 and 7717603, so it looks like my corners will fit 68-72 A-body Buicks. This makes sense because all the rear windows are the same.

PS. The corners from the 71 had a smooth driver side and a grained passenger side, so go figure.

Exactly the same numbers (02 and 03) that I have here , I guess Buick keep the same die(mold) from 68 to 72 . Look like you add 2 more years/coverage for your repro corners

    thanx

Wasn't trying to thread-jack I just figured someone that knew (like you) would speak up. Not sure which ones I put back in my 70 as I completely gutted my 71 donor. Guess if I look in my box-o-interior parts I'll find out pretty quick.. Wonder if they have a different part number with the texture??

    thanx again!

    Ken,
Both the smooth and grained versions I have used the same part numbers.

    Donald,
Do you want me to hold up your lens order and send both the lenses and corners together? Let me know.
