Since installing the B4B, the hose (pictured below) isn't staying secured to the air cleaner and often times - after cruising - I'll pop the hood and it'll have come dislodged from the air cleaner. I'm aware the B4B changes things up under the hood, being taller than the stock intake and am curious if anyone has a suggestion for a longer hose?
It's not really taller. The carb is moved to the center of the intake instead of off-center to the back. Hit the parts store up to see if you can go in the back and find a 3/4" hose that has a 90 degree bend in it that you can cut to length.
I'd thought about that as well but it's been so long since I've had a car that it was an oversight. Which style clamp?
I am going to send our local mechanical wizard/inventor over. I believe he has a prototype hose stretchin machine that'll fix ya right up!
They use a black spring ring type clamp. It's like a stamped metal vs a wire style sping ring. Same style was used on gas lines, and overflow lines.
