My 71 Skylark is being painted. The previous paint job was sloppy. There is paint on the rubber boot that protects the wires coming from the doors to the body. Any ideas how to remove this paint from the rubber boot?
Use Purple Power, Castrol Super Clean or oven cleaner. If you have a beadblaster, you can lightly blast them.
I had success with the oven cleaner method. Just use gloves. That stuff burns and makes your hands slimey. (it is your skin disolving) Not pleasant.
