Need help decoding VIN

I got the title for my Skylark, it's not a '71 which it was advertised as, it's a '72. I guess the '72 rear bumper should have tipped me off  The VIN is 4D37J 2H164 086. Can anyone translate this, or tell if it was originally a V8 car? The original engine is long gone, and there is a piece of scrap(aka chevy engine) currently residing in the engine bay.

    Thanks,
    Artie
