http://boattail-riviera-by-buick.com/library/owner%20info_manuals/owner%20info_manuals.php has a decode guide that written for rivieras - will show what the info is - actual color and trim numbers for all series are in the colors & trims section for each for plants you need go elsewhere (buicks.net) But FL1 is Flint 1
No need to go there. Many people on here can do these off the top of their head. Here is my recall. ST72 = Style 1972 model 4 = Buick 34 =GS 37= hardtop FL1= Flint Plant built 016340 BDY = Body production Number TR 138 = Black Vinyl Seats 48 PNT = Green Paint G = Dark Green Vinyl top 08C= Built the 3rd week of August 1970 [Edit 71] a51 = Bucket seats
thanks jim that helps. so how do i find out what door panel should be in the car? was all 72 the same? what i have are black panels with wood grain in the middle and black carpet on the bottom of the panels.. i will say i am happy with the colors ,black buckets with a green car will look great! again thanks for the help....ray
I beleive there were at least two types of door panels in 72. You would need to find the Fisher build sheet which is maybe under the sound deadener like mine was. Maybe that interiro code tag tells you?
finding any build sheets is not going to happen this car was taking apart 25 years ago to be restored and that never happen.guy died i got the car from his kid,it sat in a building that long.
If the car is a 72 coupe with front buckets then it came with the deluxe interior. That means the door panels you described with the woodgrain and carpet are the correct ones for the car. Duane
Duane :thank you for your time, that is so awsome, when i pulled them out i did not think it was a good thing ,with all the crap on them, but with just a little soap and water thay look new. ..
