Installed a set of bucket covers in my '71 last year. Purchased via Y-1 but I beleive the manufacturer is Legendary. Mine were a special order '71 Sandalwood, not available in the catalogue. Due to this , delivery was greatly extended. Worth the wait.
I'm in Canada so really don't want to go into the $ issue here. Numbers will seem way out compared to a US buyer. Shipping, duties, taxes, brokerage fees......adds up.
Put the exchange in there too, last summer it was brutal.
Very pleased with the product. Colour was right on the money. Form & fit very well.

I "think" Legendary is the only one making seat covers.
Have used their products many times, excellent!

You can buy them through www.opgi.com now.
They have a special of free freight w/$299 purchase.

I'm sure George's $299 comment only refers to a total order value, not the price of the seat covers. I bought Legendary 68 bucket seat covers 1-2 yrs ago, thru Year One, and with a 20% discount, paid around $200 + shipping. Rear cover would not be included normally, unless you see them offering a complete front/rear KIT. I think Year One does offer a little price break for ordering both front/rear covers. My covers look great, but are still in the box.

does PUI still make seat covers? also, legendery will fabricate seat covers with fabricate similar in thickness as the original covers, but more costly .

I think PUI and Legendary may be the only two even though others sell their products. So the chooice is a easy. I would get Legendary.

You can get a catalog(visit their sites) from Legendary, OPG, Y1 and compare prices. Be careful with Y1 since some of their shipping prices are outrageous. I would recommend Legendary, I have used their kits on 5 cars and never a problem. I did have a problem with PUI since their material vendor had a slight "color match" problem with the rest of the interior. I returned the PUI pieces and got a credit. Got the other items from Legendary and it was correct.

If you are going to do the seats, would suggest you do both front and back since there is no way for you to match a new seat with a 30+ year old back seat. I have seen this done a few times and it is very noticeable.

I also was very impressed with the 1968 GS Legendary seat covers. The door panels for the same application are simply beautiful.

Dont forget new foam is very important.
