If my car weighes 3900 and it has run a 1018 what would a 2500 lb car run with the same combo theoriticly o No:
I got about the same thing; 3900 lbs w/730 rear wheel HP = 10.18 @ 133.8 mph Knock the weight down to 2500 and you get 8.78 @ 155 mph (more or less :Brow: )
I am having a discussion with a coworker about weight vs HP and et. so you know what the discussion is about.
Mike, I have one of those quick calculator things that is "relatively" close at times if you want to call and give me some numbers. I think the 100#'s per theory is a good one too, for slower cars. The faster you go, the less acurate I feel they are. Like Doug H and Rod H bustin' "theirs" to get into the 8's and 7's for example. If used as a basic type deal they are ok. That being said................Your set up in a light car, THAT CAN HOOK(lmao), I would say mid to high 8's depending on the track and such. So who wins the debate at work ???????????
I've always heard a hundred pounds = a tenth as well. OK Mike...... You've sold the GS ragtop and now your askin' about 2500lbs cars. You gonna tell us what your up to??????
Finally A Chasis Car I don't know if any of you saw the chasis car Mike was trying to sell at the Nats this years, the green and white one. :Brow: well even though it is not crhome moly I think he has found a way to put his motor in it. :beer He will definitly need a full face helmet to keep the bugs out of his teeth. :3gears:
Mike, You need to get back to work on that house, or your green car. One or the other. Quit talking to the Ford boys and do something will ya ?
