    I've found a 68 Skylark 4-door with what appears to a 12 bolt rear-end in it.
    Is this possible?
And if I'm a real lucky Charlie will this be a true "bolt-in" for my 70 Skylark??

Turns out this gent is under pressure to remove some of the junk cars from his property in the little village I call home. And he's willing to let the whole car go for a flat of beer

With the big inverted V shaped splash lip on the rear cover, the r/e is a 12 bolt. Being a Canadian installed 12 bolt, it should have the 3R u-joint flange & the better axles.

If the rear cover is smooth with 12 bolts, someone has installed a '67-70 type "O" 10 bolt. I bet you have the "rea;" 12 bolt. Good find!

Roger it's got the 12 bolt cover and the V so this is turning out to be a very lucky find for sure.
I have been searching for anything, even a 8.5 ten bolt and you can't even find them around here anymore, all I know is the diffy in my 70 would not stand up to my 455 build-up

What does this joint flange look like and why are the axles better?

Graham Wow  givin her hard I hope they'll let you wind down after.
Pipeline is starting to go full blast here,we can't get enough rigs drilling in front of us,so we're layin pipe BEFORE the well's are drilled, :puzzled: :spank:

Usually it's the horse before the cart

The diff should be an exact match for width correct? :Do No:
